Our 17-year process of creating “Living Biodynamic Food” is based on a lecture series, “The Spiritual Foundations for the Renewal of Agriculture” given by Rudolf Steiner in 1924.
What is Biodynamics? It is a Spiritual Based Farming practice that is committed to working with Mother Nature and all of her Kingdoms. The use of GMO’s, synthetic chemicals, fertilizers or pesticides are not permitted. This comprehensive organic farming method requires the creation and management of a closed-loop-system. Farmers must be minimally dependent on imported materials, meeting all needs of the living dynamics from the farm itself. This self-contained farm is the ultimate model of sustainability and environmental preservation. In essence, the farm or landscape’s biology is elevated into a dynamic state. The founder of Biodynamic Agriculture, Dr. Rudolf Steiner believed, “That by Helping Mother Nature with the Perfection of Her offspring…”, we could in fact help heal the Planet. We base all of our work on his teachings and continue on as he put it, “in testing these things out”, creating new ways forward while improving the original baseline of biodynamics. All of our landscape and farming activities are done in harmony with the Lunar cycles and in conjunction with the Astrological, Elemental, Constellations, and Stars, including our very own Sun and Earth Orbits. We sprout and plant all of our crops in our own farm’s Biodynamic Compost, ensuring instantaneous assimilation and exponential growth.

The first only true step towards sustainability is the ability to create soil.

All of our spent biomass and plant carbon is recycled back into our compost, re-used year after year building up the quality and fertility of our soil, season after season.
